Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Collectorium ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of service

Collectorium is a Chrome browser extension that uses AI language models to extract structured data from web pages based on user-defined field schemas. The Extension operates locally in your browser. It does not include any server-side component operated by us.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may not:

• Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or resell the Extension or any part of it.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension except as permitted by applicable law.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices within the Extension.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Complying with the terms of service of any AI provider whose API you use with the Extension (OpenAI, Groq, etc.).
• Ensuring your use of the Extension complies with applicable laws, including data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
• Respecting the terms of service of websites from which you collect data. The Extension is a general-purpose tool; we are not responsible for how you use it.
• Keeping your API credentials secure.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Extension to:

• Collect personal data about individuals without a lawful basis under applicable data protection law.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Circumvent technical measures protecting websites or services.
• Engage in scraping or automated data collection that violates a website's terms of service.

6. Third-party services

The Extension enables you to connect to third-party AI APIs. We are not affiliated with these providers and are not responsible for their availability, pricing, or policies. Your use of any third-party API is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.

7. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Extension, including all intellectual property rights, are owned by Algirdas Latakauskas / Asimplek. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-extracted data will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Extension, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to the Extension or these Terms

We reserve the right to modify the Extension or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania.
